| How To Get Started With Workspace | | | Recently, we launched Workspace, a cloud based collaboration and 3D-native version control tool. You can read more about it in our blog post here. We're excited to share this product with our users. Here's how to get started! | | | | | Upload a model to Thangs | First, log in and upload your model to Thangs. (Models will default to private viewing, but you can toggle on public viewing at any time). | | | | | Upload a new version of your model | After you edit your original model in another 3D software, upload the latest version to Thangs by clicking 'New version' within the model viewer. | | | | | View the differences | In Workspace, you have four ways to view the differences between versions of your model: Overview (side-by-side), Overlay, Heat Map, and X-Ray. You can read more about what each feature does here. Each of these viewers let you inspect what changes have been made internally and externally to your model. This is a great way to easily see the differences in the model versions. We store all your previous versions in this view, too, since we have unlimited free storage for every user. You can always compare older versions, as well. | | | | | Share your model with collaborators | If you're working with others, you can easily add them as collaborators on your model. They can download the existing versions, upload their own versions of this model, and comment in the Tasks tab any feedback or questions. | | | We'll share more Workspace tips and tricks next week. | | | Thank you for your continued support of Thangs! Our community is what helps us build amazing tools like this. Feel free to share feedback here. Interested in new models, contests, or simply want to share your work?
