Introducing the #MakerMadness Tournament!

March Madness finds its way to Thangs in our new tournament.

Welcome to #MakerMadness on Thangs!  Step inside the Thangs arena, it’s time for a contest between 3D designers, creators and their models. As March Madness descends upon the country, we decided that it was time to bring that same energy to a tournament of our own. Why should basketball have all the fun, right? Starting today, creators can submit their Spring themed entries by including #MakerMadness in the Thangs model description when they upload their new models on Thangs.com.  Over the next few weeks, models with the most “likes” on Thangs.com will find themselves in the #MakerMadness bracket. Entries will compete against each other round after round until one of them is crowned the Thangs #MakerMadness Champion. The winner not only receives a brand new iPad mini and Apple Pencil, but will also be presented the inaugural Thangs #MakerMadness trophy… just imagine how that’s going to look on the socials. 😏  All submissions must fit this year’s Spring theme, as well as adhere to all of the rules of the tournament. Introducing the Thangs Leaderboard and announcing the #FilamentFebruary grand prize winners, too! See your hard work rise to the top with our brand new leaderboard We are excited to debut a new feature on Thangs.com. Our brand new creator leaderboard gives Thangs creators an easy way to keep tabs on their model engagement and also a chance to spark some friendly competition. Rankings are based on an overall engagement score (reflected in the column labeled “Total”) calculated from each listed metric.  You can find the leaderboard on the top of the Thangs homepage.
